Who is Dr. Pojezny?
Dr. Ashley Pojezny is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing in Broken Arrow, OK. She enjoys taking care of the whole family and walking through all stages of life with her patients, whether newborn or mid life and even those in their golden years.
Dr. Pojezny views medicine as her ministry and felt called to the profession while growing up after witnessing her grandfather battle with dementia. This difficult experience led her to explore how she could help alleviate the pain others experience and support them through life’s various challenges.
Originally from Texas, Dr. Pojezny attended and graduated from Abilene Christian University before attending medical school in Missouri at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCUMB). She then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend In His Image Family Medicine Residency. After completing residency, Dr. Pojezny practiced at St. John Urgent Care in Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks and Sand Springs for several years. She then felt a call to return to Primary Care in Broken Arrow where she has been able to establish deeper relationships with her patients.
Dr. Pojezny has had the privilege of serving as a volunteer physician in Kapsowar, Kenya, as well as the Good Samaritan Mobile Health Clinic in Tulsa, OK. She also served as a medical volunteer in Antigua, Guatemala during medical school.
Dr. Pojezny believes in comprehensive whole person care for her patients. She believes we must look at the entire being which includes the physical, mental, and the spiritual. All of these components contribute to our overall health and well-being. Her special interests in medicine include: Women’s Health and Breastfeeding Medicine, Pediatrics, Preventative Care, Skin Lesion/Cyst/Skin Tag Removal, Musculoskeletal Manipulation (OMT), Chronic Headache and Migraine Treatment, and Weight Loss Treatment.
